ps - and stop complaining for a little while. I know it's not ideal. And you have little faith any of this will be done seamlessly. But sometimes you have to pick your battles. It sounds like there were no perfect solutions; and this was clearly a surprise and less than perfect. But the plan is moving forward. yay for that.

I don't know what's worse: having to deal with DCPS or a Communist bureaucracy.

This is my understanding as well. Any use adjacent to an embassy has to be cleared for security risks.
