Man here...and since we're anonymous and all...

I used to use condoms, and yes lube, to masturbate. I'll spare you all the details but yeah, it's a distinct possibility. I never hid them in the car because at that time we used condoms ourselves so there was no need, but if we weren't using condoms I suppose I'd have to keep them somewhere. Might seem far fetched, but perhaps not as far fetched as some women might think. Dudes be freaky sometimes.

I'm an old guy now and we're condom free, and also in a better place, so my occasional solo flights are no longer quite so elaborate.

The part I'm having a hard time getting past is why he'd leave them so easily found.


I know of another man who does this. So I'd definitely want more evidence.

The lube seems to seal the deal that he is having extramarital relations, but I don't think it definitely means men. TMI but I went through a patch after having kids when I was dry as the Sahara and my husband and I used lube liberally and some women just are kind of dry. I think having this stuff in the car is bad news, though. Who keeps lube in the car? That would indicate to me that the husband is getting it on in the car, which many people in affairs do (just wander over to the explicit forum to see how many people seem to have sex in cars in parking garages and such with their other men/women).

When the lube became involved, my first thought was the "perfect husband" DC lawyer that was killed in that hotel after meeting up with what he thought was a man for sex, like he had done many times before (craigslist ads). Yuck.

Sure. But not jerking off with lube and condoms. It would probably take a guy an hour to get himself off while wearing a condom. Plus, they run the risk of exactly what happened here/ trying to explain to angry DW "I was using them to jack off I swear!"
