Don't marry an asshole.

If you want to lose weight, stop eating like a pig.

Go back to work after having a baby. If you don't like being a working mom then quit. But better to leave the option open.

- am still working 5 years and 2 kids later.

That's what makes The United States of America one of the best places: we have the freedom to use what works for us, and ignore the rest.

Oh yes, nowhere else but in the Good Ole U.S. of A. (tm) do people have the freedom to utilize and/or ignore others' advice. In fact, when you visit Mother Russia, there is a sign on the airport wall saying PLEASE TO BE TAKING ALL ADVICE NOW!

That's a pretty outdated opinion - although the tramp stamp shout out is funny.

What if it's a very teeny tiny tattoo?

Words from my mother. She is right.

That's just an advice.
It doesn't mean it's an universal truth.

If you love anyone more than yourself you'll suffer.

If I had to pick my child's life, or mine, which would I choose?
My child's of course.
And I'd "suffer" none.
On the other hand, if I had chose my life over my child's, I'd suffer until my last breath.
Is that just me?

Another gem.

Really? I have a tattoo on my hip and it still looks the same as when I got it, even after being pregnant. It hasn't faded, but it doesn't see the sun often. I don't regret getting it, although when I see it I do wonder why I wanted it so badly. At least I didn't go with my first tattoo plan, which was a big great white shark coming over my shoulder. Now that I may have regretted.

It's really a silly comparison.

So, if there was a gun to you and your husbands head and someone had to get shot and you had to make the choice, who would it be?

I'd pretty much save any human life even if it meant giving up my own. That's what members of my family did in Poland during the Holocaust. It's what I come from.

Can you please post your contact info?

I used to be a heavy smoker and I might need a lung one day. Those are hard to come by.

Of course, if you stopped reading DCUM threads after 4 pages long, you'd miss gems like this. Thank you.
