That's what makes The United States of America one of the best places: we have the freedom to use what works for us, and ignore the rest.

Words from my mother. She is right.
That's just an advice.
It doesn't mean it's an universal truth.
If you love anyone more than yourself you'll suffer.
If I had to pick my child's life, or mine, which would I choose?
My child's of course.
And I'd "suffer" none.
On the other hand, if I had chose my life over my child's, I'd suffer until my last breath.
Is that just me?

I see women my age (late thirties) with tatoos and it is not appealing. The tats are all faded and saggy and if they have kids I cringe.

It's really a silly comparison.
So, if there was a gun to you and your husbands head and someone had to get shot and you had to make the choice, who would it be?
I'd pretty much save any human life even if it meant giving up my own. That's what members of my family did in Poland during the Holocaust. It's what I come from.

I used to be a heavy smoker and I might need a lung one day. Those are hard to come by.
