This whole mess makes me think about all of the incredible people who are fighting for their lives (with serious medical conditions, for instance) and here we are being fed non-stop coverage about some dude who senselessly threw his life away. I'm over it.

There is only so much you can "be there" for an addict before you stray into enabling territory. Just because someone distances themselves from an addict when the addict is in the throes of it doesn't mean they aren't waiting on the sidelines to help them get clean if they want it.


+2, the best thing Khloe did was leave him.. that is what people do when they love an addict who is not quitting.

I think it would be sad because it really does seem like she still does love him, but had to divorce him due to his addiction issues. She had to make the affirmative decision to give him up and grieve him one, and now she may have to do that again. It would be brutal for anyone.

If he dies before the papers have been approved by the court, she becomes his widow. Nothing else moves forward with the divorce, those proceedings are over.

Sad in the same way that's its sad for anyone to make this choice for anyone they've loved and believed in.
