Others are right, if its a percentage thing it should be a percentage! If I'm putting $10 in and paying a $3 fee that's a THIRTY PERCENT FEE not a 3% fee that the credit card company charges. This should be illegal!!!

Is this happening only at our school (Oyster Adams) or are other DCPS schools students experiencing this?
Me again, to clarify "an outrageous large debt"
We have a random debt and our child has never had school lunch.
Me too. My kids have never had school lunch and would refuse it even if I purchased it for them, since they report it’s disgusting. Somehow both my kids now all of a sudden have outstanding debts.
I will not be paying them.
How can they report it's disgusting if they've never had it?

I sent an email to the food.dcps email address telling them that my child had not eaten school lunch and I was not paying the debt. Haven't heard back yet but I assume they'll deal with eventually. It's annoying though because it feels like this thing I now have deal with and monitor.
