No one can please everyone. I gather the people who are disgruntled are white. Comparing Muriel Bowser to Marion Barry -- please, that is absurd. Keep your criticisms within the realm of reality. You might have a chance at winning over some voters. But just being mean and stupid -- not convincing.
It is unfair to compare Bowser with Barry. While she is just as corrupt, she’s only half as smart.
That man was smart.
If by smart you mean tax evasion, chiseling, corruption, sexual harassment, mismanagement, manipulation, etc., then sure.

The people shot near the zoo got Bowsered.
The 7-11 that was looted and pillaged across from the zoo, it got Bowsered too.
Time to stop being Bowsered.

At least, that’s what many of us were called when we had the same criticisms of Obama.
Really??? I'm black and I voted for Catania. Why can't she just be useless. Why do you have to bring up the race card, then be the first one to tell us it's the black people.
+1. I am AA and I voted for him also - it was about schools for me and I liked his proactiveness on the issue.
I totally agree with your last sentence as well. In poltical races between White and Blacks in big cities, Whites tend to play the race card with the calculated assumption that the White candidate is the better candidate. So if the Black candidate wins, Whites will say it is because Blacks voted race - but they will never admit that they do the same thing.
As a aside, I think that fact that Catania is perceived as an asshole hurt him more than the fact that he is White or gay.

1) Doing nothing.
2) Holding press conferences.
3) Changing hairstyles.
But NOOOO, couldn't have David Catania as mayor! He's an asshole. Plus he's both white AND gay, two of the most feared demographics among the Democrat establishment in the District. Instead, we got an empty suit with a full pantload in Muriel.
God save the District.

Beautiful Parody.
Well done. PP![]()
My post was heartfelt and your snide response adds nothing.

Hi Muriel!
Nice try but no (obviously). I am actually impressed with how she's grown into the job, and also grown personally before our eyes. She's developed a good sense of style in how she dresses, she's poised and fairly unflappable, became a mother along the way. I approve.
