Now married 10yrs, dated DH for 5yrs before marriage (so, 15yrs total). Dated a fair bit before DH, three serious boyfriends (2+yrs each)--what can I say serial monogamist since age 16 and met my match early (my DH is wonderful).
And I'm no slouch - I was biglaw for 6 years, SAH mom for 5 years and now a high ranking political appointee. I work hard and play hard.
I'm a hard-core feminist. Still can't imagine a world where a man would ask me to pay for a date. Sounds like a Beta that would never get a second date from me. But, luckily, my DH is awesome.

Women, do you expect men to keep picking up the check?
Every time we go out, I offer to split the check, but he always says he'll get it. I'm starting to feel awkward and I definitely don't want him to think I'm taking advantage of him. What are the rules here?
