I don't know about rejection letters, but the acceptance letters do show your child's and median score of the accepted students at that center.

The school does get a list. Our principal congratulated our child the next day.


That's interesting. I've had 2 DC apply and both times the principal asked a parent whose child had also applied to informally ask parents if their child was accepted. Otherwise she did not know number or names of students from our ES who were accepted


That is very odd. Why would a principal put a parent in such an awkward position?

Last year, the open house was for kids and parents. You go together, then at some point, the kids will be taken by the current 5th grade HGC kids for their own Q/A while the parents have their's. From what I remember, you have one week to decide after this.


They must have changed it at Pine Crest because it is only parents.

I think that it is unreasonable to have decisions made before the child gets to tour. At Oak View, the students tour with the parents before the decision needs to be made.
