Do the chicken sausages still have pork casings? Or has TJ's starting using alternatives?

I used to love using their chicken sausages in all kinds of things from salads to pastas to casseroles, but then I read the fine print. It was such a bummer to learn that most or all had pork casings, despite the "chicken" label.

The best thing Trader Joe's sells is Maui Ribs, which are boneless ribs with some sort of magically delicious marinade that rocks my world.

Unfortunately, Maui Ribs are not available on the east coast. I'm headed to California to visit family soon, and Maui Ribs are second on my list of Things I Need While West (after *real* Mexican food).

Things I love include Salsa Authentica, Four cheese pizza, frozen fish (mahi mahi, cod, halibut, salmon), and the Marconi almonds with rosemary.

We had the tinned eggplant, onion, tomato tonight. Like imam bayaldi. Great! I think it's new , never seen it before.

We love the scallion pancakes. My kids love the frozen bibimbap bowls too.

H Mart carries any and all things frozen asian food. Too much to chose from but if you like the convenience, H Mart (or any other large asian market) will give you variety and likely better taste.

Trader Joe's is my main grocery store - 5 blocks away. So I'm there 2-3 times a week picking a few things here and there. The stock rotates VERY quickly. I'd trust TJ's to replace stuff on the shelf much, much faster than Giant, Safeway, Harris Teeter, Mom's, etc.

Two weeks ago when we had a ton of snow and ice, I think their delivery trucks couldn't make it. It was slim pickings for a few days, because they sell out of whole units of products in days, or even hours. It also seems like staff are constantly stocking parts of the store every time I'm there.

Yeah, TJ's has a sort of faux farmer's market vibe that can perhaps give it an old, hokey, barn, "dusty" vibe. But I'm there all the time. Their stuff sells out, and is re-stocked very fast - there is probably no single product anywhere that's sat on a shelf for more than a week at most.

There are so many items that you can easily find at other grocery stores, but are so much cheaper at TJs. Such as:
- cubed squash (perfect for easy roasting)
- jarred ghee
- smoked salmon
- hummus
- lean ground beef and turkey
- nuts! & dried fruit
- organic eggs and yogurt

I rarely buy the processed crap but really, it's a store that just makes sense for most lifestyles.

To answer the OP's q, my current favorite find is the low sugar raspberry jam. it's much lower in sugar but without the fake stuff!

TJ also has less variety w/ staples which keeps the items moving (i.e: 1 or 2 types of peanut butter like the PP mentioned.)
