It's Rude, especially because we have kids. It's not fun we we have a car load groceries. Being neighborly would mean leaving, at least, The spot directly in front of my front steps empty.
If you want toive in an urban area, having a modicum of common courtesy is required to keep relations positive.
Also, it is poorr form to let your neighbors clear a space of snow the take that space when it is obvious that another has done the work.

You think that owning the house means you also own the public roadway in front of your house, or at least you're entitled for it to be emptyif you don't want to park in it. I park in my garage and don't care who parks in front of my house, but I've been to neighborhoods like PPs, where my friends tell me to park all the way down the block because some entitled jerk thinks he owns the roadway.
Here's a question for OP and those who think this is rude: Would you care if the car were parked in the exact same space on the other side of the street? If so, your entire argument boils down to your right to a "view" of about 15 feet of blacktop.

If you lived in an area where there are no cars on the streets, and the houses are farther apart, you'd find it annoying too to have a stranger's car parked in front of your house.
Actually, I am one of the people defending OP and I am defending him/her specifically because I live in an urban area where I rarely get to park anywhere near the front of my house. So it astounds me that people are so rude and discourteous that they purposely park in front of others homes rather than their own. It just reinforces my general view that common courtesy is completely lacking. I also have no doubt that these people railing against OP would be thowing toddler tantrums if it was something they cared about on the line.
