The ones dogging on aspies are probably old like age 35 and older. I don't think they know how younger people communicate and operate in relationships. Keep it up, we'll be happy to explain how silly grandma and grandpa were with their long drawn out romances, phone calls, long drives etc.... all that effort to find a somewhat compatible match.

The younger generation creates and researches other online profile of physical attributes, occupations and likes / dislikes. All the courting happens over the internet with minimal physical interaction as to not waste time and effort on the wrong mate. By the time they meet up in person with that said mate they already have a strong idea that they will be a long term prospect. It may sound depressing to the geriatrics but that's what is happening with society.

That wasn't me. And I wasn't defending sleeping with someone's husband or a boss. But can you not see that the responses are coming from someone who doesn't seem to be reading cues? Aspergers is not the dawning of Aquarius or the next evolution of the human species. The contrary is true. Humans are more interconnected today than prior generations, add-in research of conditions like Aspergers, and you now have a new class of people that are considered outside of the norm.

Aspergers isn't becoming the norm because the condition is now defined, studied, and sometimes comes with certain beneficial traits. We just know more about this population of people than prior generations.

I am curious if modern day Aspies procreate more than previous Aspies? I would be very surprised if there is enough historical data to make a comparison.

Humans have not been kind to those in their communities who fall out of the social norms in their cultures. Many ancient cultures would have serious consequences for those who were perceived to be more a hindrance or a threat to their communities, ie gene pool. In some cultures those who were likely sociopaths or had schizophrenia might be pushed off cliffs, other cultures would isolate the "problem" people by leaving them in an isolated area -- so they literally couldn't procreate.

We have certainly evolved from our ancestors, but nature still has a way of ensuring that creatures with the best chances to survive and thrive are the ones who continue to thrive.
