No one knows what is man made? If you go the oldest living manuscripts there is belief that it is authentic and the words of God himself through Jesus. Doesn't that hold greater validity to Christians than add ons by others later??

Belief is all you got. Not evidence. Believe in whatever you wish. But when it comes to evidence, you have no idea which manuscripts are original, only which manuscripts are older. Age does not guarantee authenticity.

For kicks, I think you should ask Christians what they think the general message of their faith is, so you don't make it up for them.


So now you want to engage me in a discussion of how experts can tell the authenticity and discuss their dating techniques?

You keep insisting that Christianity and Islam are identical, despite endless pages on your own threads where posters disproved your claims that Christianity allows polygamy and concubines, and disproved your claim that Christianity requires women to veil in public. You can't possibly claim that Islamic rules about non-believers are anything like the Christian "love your enemy."

Keep telling yourself you got your point across. You didn't. Nobody thinks your pet scholar is the last word on the Trinity. Nobody thinks that Islam and Christianity are almost the same apart from the Trinity. You've been rebutted several times now.

Please point to where on this thread somebody said Islam is barbaric. You, however, just called the bible "sad" and you called Christian seminarians "lacking in fortitude" for not converting to Islam.

You changed the topic. You said the Bible not being 100% God's word is "sad," which is a change if topic. I explained why I don't think it's "sad" in the least, using some examples from a scripture, the Quran, that does claim to be 100% God's word. What's "sad" is how you hate when people argue back at you.


Not hating at all. Please keep arguing. We were talking about trinity. You made reference to men beating wives referred to in the Quran. That belongs in another thread, not here. It's a new and different subject. This thread is about trinity.

Actually, that's not at all what you're trying to do. You've posted some information on why Muslims don't believe in trinity. That's good and well, no one argued that they do, or that they should. That Muslims don't believe in trinity is not a matter of discussion or disagreement. You could have just posted "Muslims don't believe in trinity" and left it at that.

But that's not what you're doing. You are arguing that "Muslims don't believe in trinity and you shouldn't either, because trinity is a manmade concept, and you should believe in Islam instead - just like that really really smart guy I referenced."

This discussion is not about trinity. It's about your cause that no one should believe in it.



First of all, I'm giving you a fat dose of your own medicine. How many days and how many pages did you and your islamophobe posse devote to presenting Islam as a barbaric religion? Now you object to me exposing a few critical facts about your faith.

Most importantly, though, look at the bigger picture. Muslims are in fact very much like Christians in faith IF Christians rely on the original manuscripts for their belief system. It was a beautiful belief system, very similar to ours.


this in a nutshell is why i think Islam is a backward religion. Why would you think "manuscripts" that were written so long ago, that were relevant for that society, would still make perfect sense for living a good life in today's world? You are living in a backward frame of mind. You said it yourself with your post.

Thanks God we don't live the way they did when Jesus was around. I don't throw the baby out with the bath water, ha ha -- I can see why all of his teachings made sense when he was alive and I also can teel which ones he wouldnt' have been bothering with if he were alive now.

No, no, no. Absolutely not. Just some of the many ways Islam and Christianity differ are pointed out at 09/12/2014 09:10, just this morning. These additional ways have nothing to do with the trinity and everything to do with how Islam treats women and non-believers.

I would turn to atheism before I would adopt Islamic beliefs on women and non-believers. The trinity is low priority for me. Other Christian beliefs make sense to me.

You're changing the subject here, when you keep insisting that Christianity and Islam are fundamentally similar.
