Suppose a rising K student alreasdy in a public school entered the lottery, got intoMV, and took the spot. That opens up a spot in the student's former school. If that former school is CapCity, the principal pulls someone off of the waitlist immediately. If that former school is Powell, does the principal fill that sdpot immediately or hold onto it until they know what IB enrollment will be like?
It's my understanding that an inbound K student failing to enroll or re-enroll does not open any spaces for out of boundary students. It must be very hard for schools to predict the number of students that they will have for K and above.
