Please, we've been over this before. Wesleyan is totally unpreppy, Tufts doesn't much qualify either. Williams is maybe a tad too nerdy now to qualify. I'll give you the rest of them.
Places like Dartmouth andshould be added to the list but the bloodlines have been diluted as SAT scores have increased so they are getting more borderline. Bu they both have JCrew stores in town so at least look the part.

Seriously? I'm from the South, and the most prejudiced people I ever met were from the suburbs of Chicago.

Race was the main reason. I was the only Black girl at my school, and was somewhat of an outsider. My best friend at the time was the only other "ethnic" girl, who was half Indian and Jewish.
There was only one other Black person at my school, and he was a part of the bro clique. One year for Halloween, he wore a KKK costume to school. That's when I realized that I would never do what it took to fit in with them.
Holy. Shit.
Is this for real? Seriously? Which part of the South is this, Mississippi?
Pinehurst, NC.
I live there now. Which school? I would like to stay far away from it. Although, I have an idea which one it is.
The only prep school in the area. I don't want to say the name, but it's across the street from Sandhills.
That's what I thought. Please tell me they sent the boy in the KKK outfit home.

honestly, i wouldn't think about it too much -- most of the people aren't worth it. if they are worth knowing, they're going to want to get to know you. and i'm not saying all of these types are stupid, but generally speaking, they're insecure and unsophisticated.
your post reminded me of a stupid girl i knew (northeastern prep) who would tell everyone her family was "italian by way of mexico." yeah, whatever, you're mexican. own it and be proud.

I guess I want to know what their lives are like a little bit more, so that I get some context to understand their behavior? Like do they just come from a world where they don't socialize with minorities or anyone who doesn't own a yacht/belong to a country club, and they aren't used to women who think career is more important than getting married?
I'm not trying to be accusatory at all btw, I'm genuinely curious to know what their upbringings are like - at home, at church, at school, among their friends, etc.
