My Sister. Some observations:

1. I think you don't fully understand what WASP means, or, more importantly, what it doesn't. Your Gatsby reference was telling.

2. Get some professional insight on your means of choosing a partner. Take your post to a competent therapist and go from there.

3. Inform yourself. If you want a certain lifestyle, you should move to New York or San Francisco, and start start stalking hedge fund managers/owners. Regardless of their race, religion, or background. It's 2014, not 1920. Daisy and Gatsby don't exist anymore, to the extent either ever did.

OP - if you want to meet WASPs join a social club in Georgetown - like the City Tavern Club or the Georgetown Club - you can join these for under $1000 (maybe less) plus the quarterly minimums for food/drink ... but they are a good way to meet people.

I know quite a few WASPs who date AA women....just dress preppy and have your tennis whites ready too for a date! lol

I agree about joining an Pres. or Episc. church. Maybe also join a club - either a WASPY country club or a city club (a la the Harvard club)..Maybe take up sailing or raquetball.

I am Irish Catholic but I have a thing for the WASPY culture, too, ever since I read the Preppy Handbook so many years ago.

There is a blog written by a true prep called, "The Daily Prep." She mostly talks about clothes but she is very involved in sailing which is big amonst Prepsters.

However, I do think it is fairly hard to break into the WASPY crowd unless you are wealthy and WASPY too. Not impossible, but challenging.
