All the negative talk on this forum is so unnecessary and counterproductive; especially about the rec center WTF. I live near by and it is across the street.
It is unfortunate the principal left but the school will do well without her. I spoke to her the day she submitted her resignation. We talked about her 12 hour work days and long commute. She never appeared to be comfortable in the position; I wish her well.
Steve Jobs was said to create a Reality Distortion Fields around him, Maybe Sela has a similar effect?
PP, your post might sound a bit more credible if you didn't insist on the "across the street" playground that has already been debunked. Assuming you mean Lamond Playground, which is a 7-10 minute walk for adults, 10-15 for kids. 3-4 city blocks away from Sela. The difference is quite significant because a 45-minute recess becomes a 15-minute one given the to and from.
But, we may be wrong. Can you please show us what playground is precisely "across the street" from Sela?

At least the two here on DCUM. But it's surprising that no one with a bit more sense steps up to stop the horrible impression they are making.

This is getting more convoluted. You sound similarly delusional, yet a bit more sophisticated than previous Sela booster. So, there are at least 2 paranoid and lying Sela boosters in this thread?
Anonymous wrote:Honestly, most of the SELA parents avoid DCUM because of all of the overt or tacit racist, anti-Semitic, rabid mobs that go off their meds and call people liars for pointing out the school has some good things going for it - like being close to a park. It's that sick mob, mean girl mentality - and just like most of us try to reach our children to avoid bullies - we try and avoid their parents on anonymous boards. We will continue to build a great school and rise above the banality of your nasty behavior...turn the other cheek, and wish you peace and goodwill. Shalom!
