Their shrimp taco with the fried shrimp in it is off the hook! I didn't like their sweet rice dessert though---not enough texture and not enough sweetness.

Kids riding bikes around the neighborhood with their friends all day, walking to the library, cookouts with neighbors, swapping my excess tomatoes for their excess peppers - the usual stuff.

I'm thinking of repainting the front door once this heat breaks, but not sure what color to do with. Good thing there's no HOA to limit my options.

Hmmm...what else is new? Oooh, that new hipster taco place finally opened up. It's easy to walk to, right behind Jason's Deli near Whole Foods. You should give it a try. And the old post office is turning into a Crisp and Juicy. So many dinner options so close by! Rumor is Wegman's is bidding to build on Colshire Rd., near the new metro stop, but we will see what comes of that.

Thanks for checking in!

Thanks for the taco place rec. - Taco Bamba. I went today, and it's awesome! I happen to be in the District this weekend and went to District Taco. I have to say, Taco Bamba was way better, though a bit too hipster for me. I got my food to go.

I'm going there soon to grab carryout. Which kind of tacos did you like (think there's like 10 kinds)? sorry, dont mean to hijack. .

I got the Taco Bamba - it was yum. It has steak and Chorizo, corn tortilla, cilantro. DH had tamales and horchata, both house made. DH is from central america, and he thought the food was great.

Original Taco Bamba recommender here - I like the pork and pineapple, my husband likes the chorizo, my kids like the shredded beef.

Plenty of houses at 900k went fast in PH but they are new houses.

Hard to assess their value when there are few PH homes over $900K on the market, those homes aren't selling, and there aren't many recent comparables.

Only two sales were in 2013 and over $900K, and it's already late July. Thanks for proving the point.

But at least they aren't as fugly as the "Rocket House."

Please note that there also many tear down and rebuilds that are owner occupied.

I believe in McLean and Arlington the magic number for properties sitting is about 1.2 million, in pimmit hills its about 950k.
