PP, are you my husband? I was just going to say the Crow Bar - he was the one at GW. And Babe's which we could walk to from my house. Or first date was at Buffalo which is thankfully still going strong.

As long as we've moved onto drinking establishments . . . The Crow Bar, from my days at GW. Babe's Billiards, too.

I met my future (and current) husband in a drunken stupor at Whitey's. YAY Whitey's!

My DH and I met at Whitey's also!

I loved the signs in the parking lot that read Parking for Whitey's Only, always gets a laugh by disbelievers.

Errr, maybe nonbelievers?

Yes, Samantha's had an alley entrance but it also had a front door on L Street. It's Mackey's now and the inside is not much different. It's a popular lunch place still. I have no idea about night time activities.

Coppi's Clevland Park location. I loved that place.
The Cajun place on K Street in Georgetown under the Whitehurst, what was that called, Magnolia or something?
Belmont Cafe in Adams Morgan for brunch.
Lauriol Plaza when it was in its original location at the corner of 18th and S.

Yes!! The original meat market, along with Rumors and Gusti's and Mad Hatter. Yes, I partied in the '80s in DC.

And Mike Bakers and Mister Days.

And Samantha's in the alley too - don't remember exactly where it was b/c I was always drunk going there.
