I'm so sorry. Who is your friend?

I also want to know what happened to the Lyon sisters and Maddie McCann. And I'd like to add the Beaumont children in Australia.

That really does smell. You don't have a career like hers and leave for a morning flight drunk off your ass.

Officially, the child also died, but privately the family always thought she was given to another family whose new baby had died. My great grandpa was no emotional peach, so I don't think this was the denial of grief. I've (and the rest of the family) always wondered - did she survive? Where did she go? Who raised her? Did the unwitting adoptive mother "know" on some level that this was not the child she birthed?

Not a big mystery, or one that matters to anyone outside our family, but I wonder.

This happened a lot, but more often to unwed or abandoned mothers.

good one.

Definitely this case because many believe she is (or was) alive following the abduction. So awful.

I wonder if a hotel staff member took her and sold to a family for adoption.

Or sold her for worse circumstances. Imagine living with that as her parents and just never knowing. Just awful.

How about Ted Kennedy and what really happened at Chappaquidick? I had thought that on his death bed he would finally tell the truth but he might have had a deal with the Kopeckny(sp) family to keep his mouth shut. And even though they have denied it, that family probably did receive a settlement.

It was a huge house and she was in the basement.

How about that Lobbyist found dead in her garage at 6am drunk?
I know lots of people on here knew her or her husband or at least knew of her.
I don't know the details but that case stunk of a cover-up if I ever heard it.
I don't believe for a 2nd that she came home drunk and wrecked her car, she had a huge meeting that next morning, young kids, too many things to point to a cover-up.

so who killed jon benet? (by the way i meant i agree about wanting to know, not that i think i know what happened)

Her mom just as the OP said. I think it was an accident but I think she did it.

How do you "accidentally" sexually assault your daughter by sticking objects up her genitals? How do you "accidentally" tase your daughter?

Cause of death was skull fracture and strangulation with a tourniquet ligature, which had to be assembled. There was nothing accidental about her death.
