Okay. So this thread totally explains the funk on the Metro and why I refuse to ride it.

This what wipes, washcloths, and sponge baths are for.

What's the point of a sponge bath? You can jump in the shower for 5 minutes and be done with it.
And a wet wipe is not the same as warm water and soap

PP clearly doesn't have a lot going in terms of BMs. If she were like my husband who has, on average, 3 BMs a day, she'd be living in that shower!

I shower every day, but frequency of hair washing depends on the season. When it's hot and humid and my head is all sweaty, I wash my hair daily; when it's nice and chilly outside (say, in December), I can get away with washing my hair every 2-3 days.

During those non-hair-washing showers I wear a shower cap.

ITA. Def shower every day, on super hot days twice. A cool shower in the evening of a boiling hot day in summer feels great. It's more than a getting clean thing. It's a wake me up thing, and a feel good thing. I love the feel of it, not just the results. It appeals to my senses.

Recent turns in this conversation suggest that, at bottom, of lot of moms here are uncomfortable with the vajayjays. Like, it WILL emanate stank if I don't wash it out every 24 hours. But you know it may be funky if you don't wash it out every 12 hours. Your man may find it funky half an hour after you bathe. OTOH, you man (or woman) may not find see a need for you to sink the stink even at 72 hours.

A lot of this "I shower every day and women who don't have smelly great depressions" stuff is just fetishistic.
