Really? Where? The only notice we recieved from Norwood about traffic safety was in January? A different one came out in April but it was related to campus access and being mindful to try to limit trips to school or between lower and middle schools - not safety.

The notice was sent on May 14 and it definitely referred to complaints about off campus driving with Norwood sticker. Some parents also alerted the administration about this forum. They were aware and wanted to remind people of the need for safety on and off campus.

Ah yes, thx, found that message now.

Not uncommon over there in Maryland. The drivers are just less courteous, in a hurry, all seem to have bigg cars. Have seen it many times near the private schools.
Important people I guess; they get irritated if you slow them down from thier appointed rounds.

I read that email and concluded that "has been called" = "has noticed this thread." Administrators there are definitely aware of DCUM, so maybe all this did serve some purpose.

The notice that Norwood sent out to parents about driving this year came well before this thread was posted....so it was definitely not the result of this DCUM thread....but an indication that the school administration genuinely cares about the community.

The roads are full of dangerous drivers. Even the most careful drivers make mistakes on occassion. Most bad drivers just don't have a school magnet, so there's no one to complain to.

Isn't it sad that a school (any school, not just Norwood) has to tell parents to drive safely?

Norwood parent here (don’t drive a Range Rover), but FYI the school has been called about aggressive/rude drivers with “Norwood” bumper stickers, and the school let all of us parents know that people are reporting this type of behavior. The school specifically requested that we drive more carefully for the sake of safety for all out on the roads AND courtesy to the greater River Road community.

Love-love-love the Norwood administration and teachers!!

The people driving recklessly are the bullies. They would behave a lot differently if they are not wrapped in the metal armor.
