I get the Redfin alerts, just searched my email. It was listed in March for $725,000, dropped a week later to $699,000. Then October for $615,000, so that is when the contract must have fallen through....

Seriously? It's a just a regular normal house. Nothing fancy, some nice improvements. Like 70% of the houses in the area. This is a thread from someone seeing if there is a 3-bedroom, $600K house in N Arlington. She obviously isn't looking for a totally torn-down, re-built house. Get a grip.

seriously, what is wrong with this house? It looks like almost every colonial built in the burbs in the 60s and 70s, with the brick on the bottom level and the siding on the top. I think the inside is nice too. I think they may have OVERimproved on the inside - I wonder how many bedrooms it was originally? I probably would have made it a 4 bedroom.

That Jackson Street (arlington heights) house is cute and nicely renovated, and the neighborhood's pretty good and close-in. Henry is one of the more truly diverse schools in South Arlington. (i.e. it's not 80% of one race, but more mixed.) I don't know if I'd pay $650K to live in South Arlington, though - you might have issues with resale.
