Yep, the Sidwell parents' signature move - point out bad behavior at places like Landon, but sweep under the rug any embarassing behavior by their kids.

Saying a few sentences in Chinese is not "speaking with President Hu JinTao". Give me a break.

That Sasha was on the ball long before she got to Sidwell in 2nd grade. I give her and her parents the credit. Lot's of Yu Ling "sp" kids talked to Hu in Chinese as well .That is a Charter school that is FREE.

I'm not sure why you all are surprised. Schools are basically prisons - they're filled with people who are basically the same, the 'warden' (principal and headmaster) are mainly there to make sure their college admittance rates are high and to make sure their students don't start beating each other up. Beyond that they really don't care. To think that a private school would be better than a public school in terms of how nice the students are to each other is naive at best. Just because you're rich and high-society doesn't mean you're gonna be a nice kid... hell I'd say the biggest assholes I knew were the really rich ones.

Anyway, as an alum of SFS, and knowing people who go there now, I can confirm that the poem was certainly misogynistic and in poor taste. Hell even my class' poem wasn't that nice, but it was nowhere on the level of this most recent one. We also didn't interrupt our meeting till it was almost over.

IMO the poem is a stupid tradition that has gone from a little joke that nobody gets that offended by to a hateful, venomous act.

Then again, like I said earlier, it'd be nice to expect kids at a $30,000/year school to act more civil but they really aren't much different from a kid at Blair or Wilson.

LOL, if you really are a teen( aka the GDS troll), perhaps you should reflect on the fact that you wouldn't be at a Private school like GDS that cost 30K a year if your parent/parents weren't of the slightly obsessive about parenting variety. So, if you don't like being on the receiving end of all that hard work and slight obsessing, time to break free: start by saying" no thanks" Mom and Dad to your private school, your computer, your nice clothes, your car and go get a minimum wage job, buy your own clothes and start applying for FA for college. That, should keep you busy and off of a PARENT website.[/quote]

What's the over/under for the next embarrassing incident at Sidwell? First Sidwell employs a child molester. Then they provide zero support to their football program.

You know these kind of things always come in threes, so expect something else before the end of the school year.

LOL, 8:59. If one points out that the Sidwell parents are trying to sweep this embarrassing incident under the rug much like the Landon parents did during the sex fantasy league episode, that means one HATES Landon? Get a grip.

There is nothing wrong with pointing out how the Sidwell parents are acting precisely like the Landon parents did.

Who is covering it up?

What we have here is a bunch of people who are playing the conjecture game.

For all we know the culprits have already been told of some sort of punishment? I have no idea, but it is likely that you don't either.
