Not really old-fashioned, but I love this quote from Dorothy Parker, which seems appropriate quite often:

What fresh Hell is this?

In terms of hoity-toity behavior--my mom used to say,
"And who do you think you are, Miss VanAstorbilt?"
Also, "I swannee" for "I swear"

One of my favorites: I still believe that there are many people who will get their comeuppance.

I love "now we're cookin' with gas" and use it all the time!
This is probably very specific to my grandmother but my sister and I are starting to use it after having kids. Instead of the equivalent to "holy shit" she'd say "Lord love a duck."

Hee hee, I say that but it's *in an ice storm*. I probably got it from my extremely un PC grandmother along with:

*Can't swing a dead cat without hitting...* for alot. My mother hates that one, along with
*...and people in Hell want ice water* for you can pout all you want, but you're not getting your way.
*Life o'Riley* for being a lazy layabout. I'm 33 and I still don't know who the hell Riley is.

My own personal favorites are cool beans and peachy keen.

My all time favorite though is *if wishes were horses...* I have no idea where I got it from but I used it for years. I didn't even know the end of it was *then beggars might ride* until I saw the Forsyte Saga.

From my granny:
"Mutton dressed as lamb." for someone dressing too young for their age.

also, "swanky".

Delighted.

Nobody says they'd be delighted to do anything anymore!
