I’m 49. I drank, smoked cigarettes and marijuana as a young teenager and now I have 1-2 drinks a week. I need all my brain cells. Also, I have had to evacuate high rise apartments at night due to fire alarms (one false and one real) with a baby/toddler and a dog in tow while my husband was out of town, so I need to be a functioning adult in the middle of the night.

I guess I wouldn’t be opposed to marijuana if my kids were not with me, but I never think about it. I am afraid of my own brain and imagination on anything more than marijuana, so I wouldn’t dare use a psychedelic for fear of getting paranoid and harming myself or other.

The older ages here do not necessarily suggest a correlation between age and feelings about weed or hallucinogens. It might just mean that this here website is used mostly by us olds.

I just don't want my kids growing up in an environment where smoking weed and tripping is considered normal. That said, I miss doing that stuff sometimes.

If so, it wasn't about smoking weed, it was being in an altered state while your kids were around a body of water.

A few hits from a vape doesn’t make you unable to function. Who are you people?

Most of the people I know (working professionals, fellow teachers, normal people around my age) do these. Most of us don't drink much at all. This board freaked out when I mentioned weed once, so I want to know, how old are you guys?

I don’t think I know a single person who would even have a friend of a friend who does this on a regular basis. But we did choose private school after meeting some of our local public’s teachers, so I’m not entirely shocked.

Who try to get pregnant during the optimal month of the year. (Specifically, October)

Why October?

Old enough to know that weed and psychedelics can lead you down a very bad path: psychosis, schizophrenia, drug abuse...... In no way should these be normalized as its good for you!

In theory, I'm not against pot for medical needs, but I have always been adamantly anti-smoking, and weed smoke falls into that category for me. I find it disgusting; it smells bad, clings to your clothes, and breathing in smoke can't be good for your lungs, even if it's not addictive like tobacco. For those reasons, I'm less judgmental of edibles, but I'm still not going to do them myself.
