I know I would have no clue who they are, and I'm guessing most couples at such a resort are more focused on each other than trying to guess if another couple is famous. On top of that, anyone who can afford a $2500/night resort probably values privacy and is not going to go makng paparazzi photos and trying to sell them for $20k.
And in public, most of their activities were not too suspicious on their own, like being in a hot tub, but the article notes they left the pool separately so they were trying to be a little careful in public, but slipped up. Probably you feel like it's pretty private when on the rooftop of a bungalow so are going to let your guard down.
Put it all together, and that's affair. How do I know? I have (unfortunately) some experience with this. The way to act in public is no touching at all so it can be played off as a business meeting/dinner. All displays of affection are in the hotel room with shades closed, or perhaps in the elevator if you check for security cameras first.
TMZ says the source was not paparazzi. The theory is that it was a PI.
A PI woudn't shop the pictures around to the highest bidder, since the "work" they produce (photos) is owned by the person who hired them.

She also uses her media credentials via NY Times to vote on league awards, including coach of the year. Guess who won that award last season? Mr Vrabel…

I’m not a sports fan or familiar with her work. Did she use professional position to publicly advocate for him?

All female sports reporters are sluts. One famous Fox Sports host was busted last year sleeping with her executive boss and gossiping that she’ll accuse him of sexual assault if she didn’t get prestige promotions. They’re all dumber than rock “communication” majors and* sorority girls who were jersey chasers in high school and college. It’s ridiculous we have to listen to these bimbos who don’t know a damn thing about the sports they’re covering. They’re forced onto us into EVERY sports medium. Enough is enough.

It's funny how it's mostly women here enforcing patriarchal sexual norms here by trashing this woman.
Someone upthread complained about college wannabe female sports reporters sleeping with the whole football team. If a male student reporter slept with the entire school cheerleading squad a statue would be erected in his honor.
Seems like Dianna is a friend of the patriarchy using the same old tricks to advance her career.
