EIGHT pages of some of the ugliest sandals ever. It's like the summer dress thread--you open it full of hope, thinking you might get a link to something nice, but no...it's a pile of (poopemoji).

I have, as a PP said, nice well tended slim feet. But even that will not help some of these horrors.

DP - Kork-Ease Myrna 2.0! I have the same pair and love them. Very comfy for all but long walks, and it's too hot here in summer for those, anyway!

The truth that no one wants to write out is that on a pretty person with slim, well-tended feet, any of the sandals from any of the threads would look nice. But you can put the prettiest, most delicate sandal on bloated, damaged feet and they will never look good!

So take care of your feet, and the rest will fall into place. If you're walking far, you're better off respecting your feet and wearing the appropriate footwear with support - they wouldn't look good anyway in showy sandals. If you're going out to dinner, that's when you can wear a pretty and impractical pair of sandals - but again, on ugly feet, nothing will look good.

regular gizeh are better - the flowers are too busy

Agree. My 10 year old picked the flower ones for herself. I still prefer Arizona (big buckle) but also like the suggestions of the PP who shared 3-4 options. The others…I like to be comfy but every time the links loaded an involuntary sigh of despair escaped my lips. If Arizonas or slides are not going to cut it, wear neutral sneakers.

Sandals will always be good in the summer because you can just slip them on. I only wear sneakers in the summer if I'm hiking or running.

PP here - honestly, me too (except I don’t run). I happily can walk 10,000 to 20,000 steps in Arizonas, but in DC so admittedly not very rough terrain. My recommendation was for OP. If she thinks something like that (or the PP’s suggestions on the last page) won’t work for her terrain my opinion is she would be better off with a low profile neutral sneaker than 90% of the sandals linked here, and then bring something else for dinners.
