Yea, that’s weird too. Two of our kids went to UVA and I guarantee you if I told you we drive around with a UVA sticker on our car you’d wretch.
We don’t.

There’s a thin line between pride and bragging. I don’t attach my tax return to my car.
Sorry but it’s weird.
I'm the OP and I'm glad I'm not the only one who finds this weird.
It’s always annoyed me and the responses you’re seeing that it’s being done for the practical reason of drop off is just complete bullshit. It’s done because of pride, which goes before the fall as they say. Posters should be honest at least.
So private school families aren't allowed to feel a sense of shared identity and community and display a sticker on their car. But public school families, sports families, camp families, etc. etc. are just fine to do so? Ok.
I never said anything about public schools. This is a private school thread. In any event, the pride isn’t over “shared community” but shared exclusivity and you know it.

So I guess at least a few other people feel the way OP does.
Have you actually experienced that? That’s wild
I don’t wish anyone ill, I just wouldn’t want to be perceived as bragging like that

Anonymous wrote:I don't find it weird. My kids went to a nice public hs and the booster club sold car magnets. I bought one. Who cares?
