Notre Dame REA apps were up 6% from last year, and yet they extended the RD deadline.

Farming for a ridiculous acceptance rate or did RD apps dip?

I can’t see how one can demonstrate more DISinterest by applying late!

Has anyone actually gotten in if they applied after the deadline passed?

I’ll add that we paid the application fee for Georgetown bc my DC thought they wanted to apply and then reconsidered.

I would have expect that applying late would hurt consideration even more than applying RD.

Also full pay does not move the needle at the most competitive schools, at least not without sizable donations.
This may have been the case in the past, but isn't what private counselors are saying. The reduction in international students, federal funding and the age related enrollment "cliff" are impacting budgets so full pay kids are seeing a bump.

Not sure if this is how they typically due it - or if it is an indicator of fewer applications.

For my child, Fordham sent an email extending the application deadline and clarifying that only the application was due by that date - supporting documents can be submitted later

Fordham LOL

They have done this since the 1970s
