I love SB in general, but didn't love the UCSB campus. The buildings were meh. Obviously the view was nice and loved all of the bikes. Landscaping felt a little sparse too. It could be spectacular.

And UCSB isn't really in Santa Barbara.

IDK about campuses, but for best college towns, Yale cannot be beat:

This is a thread about the best college campuses, not the schools with the biggest tools.

I bet most here don’t get this but all high school students do.

They do this TikTok to be controversial it’s entirely subjective and biased and that gets crazy comments, which there are, which elevates their views.

I think CU is the prettiest but that’s entirely subjective. There is no real “best campus”

Do you mean they aren't American colleges, because most people would look at Oxbridge and go "that's a college campus"

Oxford and Cambridge are collections of numerous constituent colleges with their own buildings and grounds. There are some shared facilities like libraries and museums, but the majority of the campus is the colleges.

That's still a university. Sure, it's rare we have that (claremont colleges may be the only successful model), but a university is a collection of various colleges.

It is a university comprised of colleges, each with their own "campus". From the Oxford website: Our University has no central campus but is made up of over 30 colleges and halls spread across the city centre and beyond. These colleges are at the heart of Oxford's reputation as one of the best universities in the world and make it a very special place to study and live.

OMG, we know this.

Glam? The campus sucks. I'd put Berkeley, UCLA, and the Claremont Colleges above pepperdine. It's pretty clear that it is mediocre, if you can get over Malibu.

Pepperdine is all about the views. The views are great.
