PP didn't claim to be a physician. They just correctly pointed out how FOS the other poster was.

My questions is- are you sock puppeting or are you so triggered by a woman with knowledge that you had to chime in?

Do your neighbors know how to:

Build a fire
Process a deer/ turkey/ game bird
Frame a simple shed
Install a well pump
Clean load and fire a pistol or rifle

Or do .... anything that doesnt cause a traffic jam at Tysons?

And do those people of Greene County know how to take Metro, order a cocktail in a bar, drive on the Beltway, parallel park, network, or appreciate art?

Whatever is your point? It isn’t like those skills are inherently virtuous and as many people live in urban areas as they do rural ones.

What a laughable list you created that unintentionally proved OP's point

My guy. I know people from these places. They're TERRIFIED of Metro or driving in traffic. I proved MY point.

Maybe they don't want to be knifed or set on fire by mentally ill strangers.

Just because you know how to install a well pump doesn’t make you more valuable than other people. I don’t have a well, so I don’t need to know how to install a pump — but if I did, maybe I could figure it out. What is the point of your story?

This.

My DH can do all of those things. I also have a lot of survival skills that are specific to either the very poor urban environment where I grew up or the places in Appalachia, urban inner cities, and the developing world where I worked in my twenties.

None of this makes anyone superior to others. Hopefully, we work together to ensure everyone’s survival. Some people dig wells, others make sure we’re not getting cholera from them.

An insecure surgeon. How cringey.

DP. It’s almost like you don’t know anyone in the medical profession…maybe too much time in the backwoods where you are with your intellectual equals? Surgeons are not known to be insecure. They tend to be the opposite. And why shouldn’t they be? They save people’s lives…while you do what exactly?

The fact that the PP used the word "cringey" lets you know the surgeon they were trying to insult accomplishes more in one day than the "cringey" poster will in their lifetime.

Though I’ve lived within the beltway for over two decades, I identify more with the residents of Greene Co., VA. I cannot understand why any sane person would have willingly voted for Kamala. Her political positions made no sense whatsoever.

And while I find trump crass and vulgar on a personal level, I support most of his administration’s political moves.

DCUMAD understands little to nothing about the residents of Greene County, though they certainly look down on them.

We all know some MAGA trash exists inside the beltway.

His political moves are cruel, crass and vulgar, though. Not to mention unconstitutional and illegal in repeated instances. I mean, really, telling people to kill survivors?

DCUMAD doesn't think or care about the residents of Greene County at all, but for threads like this. But, the chip on your shoulder is really something.

I have no need to know how to do any of the above. But Shenandoah National Park is in that area and We have spent time there and still had no need to know how to do any of the above

Your ignorance sbout clinical trils proves you are lying about yourDH being a doctor.

What’s ignorant about what the PP said? Please educate us.

Diagnosticians and clinicians are two very separate people. If we were talking law enforcement, it would be like saying my DH is a cop who arrests people and also prosecutese them.

- signed, the daughter of two physicians (nephrologist and pediatric oncologist)

You’re lying about being the child of physicians. Have you never heard of teaching hospitals where MDs both practice and conduct their own research?

And PP you’re wrong. Large research facilities have MDs that do research and clinical practice. But you go back to your smug existence.

And as a pp said, most people who live there cant do those things either (and dont want to do those things). Both my husband and I are from places like that. Almost no one we know there there can do those things. Though I do have relatives who skin and eat road kill if it is srill warm. So add that to ypur list?

And who in dc cant build a fire after 2020 outside socializing?!
