I honestly wouldn't be surprised if they eventually turn Einstein into a holding school.

Did an Einstein student bully Taylor when he was at BCC? Steal his lunch? Egg his car? Is that why he hates Einstein and acts like he wants to erase it?

Eyeballing, it looks like F and G have Sligo MS more over-capacity (before addition) than option E which has it right at capacity. And F has Eastern less over-capacity than E and G (which have it over 200 over-capacity before the new building is completed.). But would like to see the actual numbers.

This all assumes that they are closing SSIMS early, but the documents still say it's closing in 2030. But then where do the kids go in the meantime?

Why would you assume that when the documents say otherwise?

Because no one is assigned to SSIMS in any of these options.... if they plan to keep SSIMS open through 2030, how would they know who should go there if no one is assigned to the school anymore starting in 2027? I guess they could grandfather the previous year's 6th and 7th graders but even that only gets you through June 2029.

They would just stay as is for now and have the new MS assignments take effect in 2030.

Was that announced in the meeting tonight? Otherwise I don't think we can assume that.

It's very clear in the effects tables. The No Change and With Change numbers are identical, until 2030.

Yes, the effects tables show the SSIMS enrollment numbers unaffected through 2030. Then the following year, enrollment at Sligo and Eastern jumps accordingly.

Yes. But I don’t think the council will have technically approved the budget by then? Or does it matter?

F and G effects tables are live even though the links don’t look like they are.

That makes sense, because Taylor needs to know that before presenting his recommendation in February.

Interesting that Option F keeps Wheaton at ~2,200 students instead of 2,600 like the other options.

I mean, maybe. But they just swapped Wood Acres and Bethesda Elementary for no real reason. If people in other neighborhoods like that option, they could just not do the swap.

It looks like they swapped them to increase Whitman FARMS but it’s a little nuts bc much of Bethesda Elementary is walk zone to BCC. I don’t see any other reason?

And it doesn't make that much of a difference. Very odd. It feels like they just want to be able to say "see there are some changes to Whitman and BCC."
