Jay Jones wasn’t wrong. And the things he said pale in comparison to what Americans decided they were ok with in the previous election.
I read this post earlier and, after thinking about it, it really spoke to me. I am upset at the state of our nation today and fearful about what the future will bring if Republicans are unchecked. I don’t know what it will take for things to get better. While I would never act on it, I admit wondering whether if Trump were to die that would solve the problem. Is that really any different than what Jay Jones texted?

No. He just has extremely poor taste in humor in private texting.
I don’t think it was humor. He has shown extremely bad judgement.
Really the last thing I want in an AG.
Yet… Virginia electoral college votes are at stake at the next election.
It was humor. Fiction. Whatever you want to call it, it was not a real desire. He was hypothesizing about how to use two bullets on three possible people, two of whom are dead.
There is appropriate humor/fiction and inappropriate humor/fiction. This was clearly the latter and unbecoming of someone who wants to be the Commonwealth’s chief prosecutor, regardless of context.
Jay Jones can go back to felonious speeding along I-64 for all I care.
LOL. “Unbecoming”. It’s 2025, we are way past that. Virginia’s rights are on the line.
No one seriously GAF about the texts. Dems are more focused on protecting Virginia from Trump. Any faux concern is from MAGAs who worship the most “unbecoming” of all.
Polls suggest otherwise.

A right-leaning pollster posts these results … convenient.
Virginians will crawl naked over broken glass to vote against Miyares.

Eh candidates use 501c4’s to “hide” donors. As someone who works in corporate lobbying I can almost guarantee Dominion is also donating to Jones to hedge their bets, but doing it via a c4 because Jones doesn’t want his base to see him accepting $$ from Dominion. Arrangements like this are super common.

There is only one party to vote for whether you like it or not only one is protecting your right to vote and that is the Democratic party.
These are the items Republicans will roll back
Your right to initiate a divorce
Your right to own property
Your right to call the police if your husband beats the crap out of you.
Your right to get hired
Your right to have your own paycheck
Your right to have a bank account.
Yes they can and yes they will.
No one tell me this is not true. If you had read Project 2025 and followed Stephen Miller and Russell Vought, they have said this over and over again.
When you say you will not vote, Republicans are suing in 55 cases right now to stop Americans from voting. Is that really the America you want to live in? Every race matters. Vote!
