But you won't call it assault when a woman puts hands on a man. Hmmm. Interesting. Double standards only when it gives you leverage. That's why there are so many horrible women who get aggressive like this, yet expect to be protected & cry victim if they are treated the Exact. Same. Way.
He should have thrown hands. In self defense, of course 😜

None of that actually happened though.
He pushed her with the patriarchy.

The seats block the view of who touched the ball first.
It's conceivable she's not lying about having had possession first. Judging by her berating not just this dad but also a couple of other stadium bystanders, I'd have to wonder if she's had too much to drink. Reserving judging on who had possession first, but not a good idea to make a public spectacle of yourself like she did at this game.

Everyone in the stands is free to try to gain possession of a stray ball. Whoever first gains control over the ball gets it. People aren’t supposed to pry the ball out of someone else’s hands. Sometimes two people lay hands on it at the same time; then it’s less clear who should gets possession. Adults who gain possession often give the ball to a kid.
In this particular case, the ball ricocheted off a seat in the woman’s row and landed in a seat in the row in front of her. I haven’t seen any video with an angle that definitively shows whether the woman ever got a hand on the ball. It was quite a reach for her, but she was trying to scoop it up. Meanwhile, the dad had easier access to the ball because he was in the row where it landed. It appears that he got it first. The woman was mad because her odds of getting the ball had been so good with so few people around her, and the ball was almost within her reach. However, the ball wasn’t specifically intended for her; it hadn’t been thrown to her, it was a stray ball that just happened to land near her. She’s acting like she was entitled to it. She was not.
This is just one of life’s disappointments. She handled it badly. She had no business laying hands on the dad. I don’t know if she has the intellectual capacity of a child or she’s just generally a volatile person or whether she’s experiencing serious personal turmoil right now or whether she had a little bit too much to drink that night, but she’s a very aggressive and confrontational person. She stormed over to a different guy in a different section, got up in his face and yelled at him.
And you aren't familiar with the basic school ground etiquette, "I called it."
They were in a baseball stadium, not a school ground. The same rules do not apply.

If the kid had come over and gotten it himself it would be different, but a grown man raced over and pushed other people out of the way so he could be the good guy for his kid. 🙄 She went over to him because women are tired of being pushed aside by men, and having to defer to men, and having to let men get their way. Good for her. Maybe he’ll think twice next time. Menopausal women don’t care what anyone thinks and it’s glorious.
Menopausal women with nasty entitled attitudes are a blight on society. They are parasites, essentially. All they do is add ugliness - both outside & inside - to the world around them.
They were the 1st generation of American women to be indoctrinated with feminism, & they're such odious cowards that they'll put hands on a man, thinking he won't hit them back.... thinking they have the right to put hands on a man, & if he responds in kind, they'll cry victim.
Enough of this. Equal rights, EQUAL LEFTS. It's time for a change. If a woman lays hands on me, I am physically defending myself with any level of force I deem appropriate. I hope that scares you, because I'm just one of millions of dudes who think this way in 2025.
