What field?
I’m currently tutoring to “make ends meet”. It’s so tough and discouraging.
I’m well versed in admin, organization, and communication. I just feel there aren’t a lot of options for me right now. I would appreciate some insight in finding meaningful and sustainable employment.

Some of you are in such difficult situations. I wish you all better times ahead.

My biggest stressor right now is my schizophrenic sister-in-law who refuses all help and medication. She/her illness has ruined her marriage, her career/future retirement, her daughter’s life, and has caused immense stress to my elderly parents in the last years of their lives. It’s heartbreaking to watch this happening and not be able to stop it.

My spouse verbally threatened to kill me in an argument. I ldon't know what to do. Did he mean it? Probably not? I hate drama, but I'm probably never going to get over it or feel at peace again now. Who do I even tell?

When I was in 5th grade I read Anne Frank’s diary - not for school I was just a constant reader - and I brought it up at the dinner table and then learned that my alcoholic abusive father was also a vehement Nazi sympathizer - raised in the 30s in the Bronx by 1st generation German immigrants who idolized Ford and Lindbergh and believed everything they read in the Protocols of the Elders of Zion which Henry Ford so kindly distributed to millions of American households. My ‘dad’ said the only thing wrong with Hitler was he didn’t finish the job.

Anyway after this terrible revelation about my family of origin I became obsessive about the Holocaust and WWII and especially about how things could fall apart like they did in postwar prewar Germany.

And now in the final chapters of my life I’m having to live a similar devolution of democracy and rise of the bully and hateful classes to the seats of power.

I’m doing my best to survive and not succumb to despair. And I am plotting resistance.

What? I'm pretty sure PP was saying that they were currently unemployed and was struggling to find a new job. I'm not sure where you got SAHM from that (not that there is anything wrong with that anyway.)

Around the world, pandemics have happened several times in the past, much before COVID-19. That is the reason that countries like S.Korea had such great response to COVID, because they had already encountered SARs and variants twice before. The next pandemic is around the corner. Already, China is fighting with a Chikungunia outbreak. Marsburg virus, Ebola - these have outbreak all the time and international travel (and all sort of immigration) is also happening all the time. All experts agree that the next pandemic can happen in the next 5 years. Not a question of If but When.
