As someone that has coached against ML and NM for years, I couldn’t be happier players are following them!!

The only thing that was unprofessional and shady was how FVU handled the coaching announcements and treatment of these coaches.
I still can’t even believe the story of how it went down. ML told me that a week before tryouts, CW told numerous families that the coaches were returning and he gave the coaches verbal offers with finances included, and then ONE day before tryouts called the coaches and rescinded the offers without any explanation.
This heinous act was clearly intentional so the coaches couldn’t find other ECNL jobs in VA.

Every family should run from FVU as coaches talk so no decent coach will ever go there again. Also, I’m sure college coaches know the story so they won’t think highly of the club either especially since they have been working with those coaches for years.

Definitely mv and kj are what’s wrong with youth soccer. Talentless coaches with zero success that are extremely jealous of the guys with a proven track record. And it is clear they are on this thread trying to prop up a club that’s about to collapse.

What good reason was given for letting nm and ml go from fvu? No one has given an answer to that. Leads me to believe the slimy guys (mv and kj) had something to do with this. Congrats fvu! You just let the dumbest coaches set the future destruction of your club.

NM was a club soccer player. He did not play ncaa.

Club soccer in the early 00s…he would get waxed by most boys who are varsity level starters these days. Same for his sidekick. It’s a shame people think these guys know ball.

Talked about the "great staff" at FVU and answered the majority of parents questions.

KJ just spoke about how bad BSC and NM are which was poor form. Not the way to convince players to stay if the coaches are the reason they're leaving. MV babbled a bunch of nonsense. Neither had anything of value to add to the meeting and should have stayed off the line. DB also threw shade at BSC as a whole for their treatment of players. MB never spoke. no other coaches online.

It is...funny though they don't have NCAA Championships in College CLUB soccer at least not in 2002 or whenever that was.
