Surrogacy would be an expensive and slow way to obtain a child for any of those.

Unfortunately, infants are sold or traded for a pittance everywhere in the world.

“A Southern California couple has been charged with child endangerment and neglect after more than 20 children were removed from their home in Arcadia, most of whom were born to surrogate mothers, according to police.

The children ranged in age from two-months to 13-years-old, but most were between one-year and three-years-old, the Arcadia Police Department said.”

I saw the headline but didn't have time to read the article this morning but thought it made no sense, how would someone have 20 surrogate babies? I thought they were some go-between but why would people having children that way not get the child right away?

It's still nuts after reading it.

This is a baby farm testing site, can’t you tell?

Most moms in my town with 3 kids are still slim. Mary Heln Bowers has 4 kids and slim. And I am not taking about suburban mom slim. With new drugs and fitness industry, it’s even more achievable today.

Surrogacy is completely unnecessary.

Looked into “private surrogacy” a bit.

It appears “private surrogacy” is completely unregulated and legal in many states.

Even google AI kept using terms like “ lawyer highly recommended,” or “it is crucial - though not required - to do background investigation” etc.

Reading between the lines: private surrogacy has NO legal prerequisites in many states.

Jeffrey Epstein could have bought a bunch of surrogate babies had he wanted to. Maybe he did.

Surrogacy is absolutely bad. Come on. We don’t allow newborn puppies to be torn from their mothers because we know it’s cruel. But we do it to babies.

Are we outlawing adoption too?

Adoption is regulated.

It’s regulated at the state level

Adoption appears highly regulated, judging from experiences of coworkers and friends of ours in MD, VA, and D.C., who have had to navigate the complex and lengthy process required before an adoption is allowed here.

Are there any comparable prerequisites for private surrogacy ?

Ok maga idiot go back to your hole and shut up

Seriously this is not a thing.

What is a thing is sex trafficking of children by border agents on Texas! Yeah republicans!
What is a thing is church members abusing children who again are Republicans and both are facts!

WTH ? Where on earth did you get the idea I am a MAGA? How did anything I wrote bring up the repug-licans?

You sound insane.

I'm a NP, but I agree with the person you called a "maga idiot" and I'm not a republican. If we've learned anything from the trump administration, it's that you can't rely on common decency or that people will make moral, responsible choices when left to their own devices.

Surrogacy needs to be overseen by a regulatory body to protect the good from the bad. And to protect women and children from those who have black hearts.
