Exactly! There is zero logic to these ridiculous arguments. If DEI ends, that means students are only admitted based on their qualifications - NOT their race. So you'd think these dopes would be all for it! Instead, they're claiming fewer minorities will be admitted, apparently because they think minorities aren't as qualified? It makes no sense.

Look, folks, if you believe colleges should focus solely on merit, then US universities need to drop their holistic admissions model and do what the majority of universities in the world do--base admissions primarily on:

1) performance on a standardized national exam (e.g., China, S. Korea, Japan, Spain, Mexico, Greece, Israel)

OR

2) high school academic performance (high school grades, typically from the final year(s) or a cumulative GPA, often derived from a standardized secondary school leaving certificate (e.g., Abitur in Germany, high school diploma in Canada). Besides Canada and Germany, also Austria, Switzerland, Netherlands, Sweden, Norway, Finland, Ireland, and Belgium are examples.

A higher SAT average doesn't make the white men any smarter, or worthier to attend these institutions than the POCs who have the brains but no access to the resources (legacy being one of the resources) those "mediocre white guys" are born into.

As for us Asians, the revenge of the mediocre white guys is just a matter of time.

At the high end it does.

Who knows what could have been if resources were equally distributed but at the point in time when college admissions are determined, the top 1% of white applicants are smarter than than the top 1% of black applicants and they both pale in comparisono to the top 1% of asian applicants.

JD Vance had to have had good SAT scores to work at Princeton review, it is a requirement for the job.
That probably means he had good LSAT scores. And he graduated summa cum laude.
So he probably wasn't a DEI yale admit

Clarence Thomas graduated 9th in his class from Holy Cross and had an academic reputation comparable to his Yale Law School Classmate Hillary Clinton.

DEI is not based on merit.

Correct. This is what DEI means: we will not hire primarily based upon merit, experience, or education but by gender (female), sexuality (LGBTQ), and ethnicity (non-White). This is because of our perceived injustices in the past; therefore, in our wisdom, two wrongs actually do make a right.

DEI is actually the exact opposite, that’s why Rs oppose it. Rs prefer a system of legacy admits and preferences for white males.
