The two-state solution is dead. Palestine is a fictional country with no Biblical legitimacy and many missed opportunities to choose the path of peace, prosperity and a passport. The Palestinians should have taken the deal in 1947/48 (Partition), 1993 and 1995 (Oslo), 2000 (Camp David), 2007 (Annapolis), or 2020 (Peace to Prosperity) but they didn't.
10/7/23 was the red line, and it's a whole new strategy as far as Israel is concerned.
And to be clear, if any of the Arab nations or Iran really cared about the Palestinians they would have offered resettlement. Not seeing much enthusiasm for that for obvious reasons--they have created chaos, instability and terror wherever they've gone.
Israelis are on record saying they were going to take the land anyway regardless of whether it was partitioned or not. The “deals” were not deals, they were traps.
Zionists would probably assassinate their own leaders if they accepted any "deal." No need for any type of deal anyways; they have been able to commit genocide with impunity with the backing of the West.
One of the talking points most often employed against the Palestinians is that their rejection of the UN partition plan is the root cause for all the misery and conflict that followed.
Israel fails to mention partition was never their idea and never what they wanted. They will also fail to mention all the UN leaders who worked on partition that they assassinated in 1947-1948.
On 17th September, 1948, Count Folke Bernadotte, a United Nations Mediator for Palestine, was murdered in Jerusalem by a Zionist militant organization. Count Bernadotte's presence in Palestine followed the United Nations Partition Plan for Palestine and the subsequent unilateral Israeli Declaration of Independence.
Which side is really against peace?
It’s not the Arabs

They killed Arabs that they thought were moderate and wanted to sign for partition. They’ve always acted in bad faith while gaslighting the world into thinking they are the victims and the Arabs are the violent side.

How will war in Iran help with the partition and ethnic cleansing (what you’re asking for) of Palestine?
If anything, this war will help Palestine and hurt Israel.
Don’t forget 10/7 happened because Netanyahu ignored Hamas for a decade in favor of obsessing over Iran and assassinating their nuclear scientists and engineers
Was bibi ignoring Hamas for the past decade, or open funding them to destroy hopes of a two state solution? I have whiplash from the wildly conflicting theories here from the Hamas sympathizers.
Iran was waging war on Israel through proxies - Hamas and Hezbollah, along with the houthis and Syria. After 10/7, israel attacked the proxies and now they’re going in for Iran.
I personally doubt they will be able to destroy or severely set back irans nuclear capabilities, but they’ll stall it. Hopefully without forcing the us into another war a la Iraq.

As it should be.
Israel honestly can’t go much further anywhere. reservists are hurting economically and militarily and reservists are disillusioned and traumatized by their experiences in Gaza. Economically, Israel will only grow weaker the longer it keeps reservists in Gaza. Society is being shredded by this and is starting to continuing to wrestle with the fact that the ultra religious that are voting for these hard line policies are experiencing none of the ill effects. The status quo is unsustainable in the long term. And Netanyahu is corrupt and this has been well known within Israel for decades.

Anonymous wrote:Anonymous wrote:Well, Hamas's invasion of Israel on October 7th presented Israel with an opportunity to completely remake the strategic map in the region. Israel has been systematically destroying all of Iran's proxy forces. First, there was Hamas of course. The entire leadership is now gone and besides terrorizing locals in Gaza, Hamas really can't do much anymore. Hezbollah has mostly been destroyed in Lebanon. The pager and walkie talkie attacks were brilliant and once Nasrallah was killed, it was game over for Hezbollah. The Assad regime has been toppled in Syria and Iran lost a critical ally. Without Assad, Iran can't support Hamas or Hezbollah. And now Israel has established air dominance over Iran itself and is systematically destroying Iran's capacity to project power. I can assure you everyone in Riyadh, Amman, and elsewhere in the Middle East is quietly but enthusiastically supportive of Israel right now. So from a strategic point of view, this has been a very good year for Israel and the predominantly Sunni countries in the Gulf.
This is the smartest thing that’s been posted on DCUM in months.
