How many times did idiots confidently assert on this board that crime is down when anyone who actually lives in the city (I have since moved) could see with their own eyes every day that was not the case? Anyone want to slink back and admit how wrong you were over and over?

No. New job. But I never would have considered a new job or leaving DC until 2023 and how bad crime became. (I was held up at gunpoint).


Lurker here. I saw the writing on the wall in 2020ish and left specifically because it seemed inevitable that there would be a crime wave. You can't slash police budgets, make laws more relaxed, hold cops to unfair standards etc and still have low crime. Life doesnt work that way.
