I don't even live here and I think it's pretty easy to see. Big population center that cares about soccer. Lots of younger siblings/overly privately trained younger kids all wanting to play in the same environment. Falls off when everyone else develops.
-You're not wrong. Also, they have unofficial feeder clubs with LMVSC, Gunston, St James, BRYC, PWSI and a few others. Also, we just had a MUFC kid out.
-There is also a lot of complimentary soccer training in this area, False8, FC Training, HP Elite, private training... the indoor sportsplex, & RAMP ect.
-And talent used to leave SYC, but now with the 2012 groups and younger, the more talented kids are staying for MLSNext I, MLS Next II, GA and GA Aspire. (Whereas with 2011 and older, they used to leave SYC...but not so much now and now they have a talent inflow.)
As it stands now, unless they shoot themselves in the foot somehow, SYC should continue to dominate from 2012-2016 u-little groups.
Doesn’t sound like there was much domination at state cup today.
A glitch anybody know how PWSI u12 beat SYC power house
syc looks worse and worse each game. they didnt look good at Virginians too

+1 The hype is over
No, your jaded view if fairly obvious and it seems like you're sock-puppeting and answering your own posts again.
For the Record, Arlington had 8 teams in the finals (between the State Cup and President's Cup for Boys and Girls)
SYC Had 5 teams
PWSI Had 2, Loud had 2
A lot of other clubs only had 1 team reach the finals
Arlington is a very good club, but there are a bigger club. SYC is also a very good club. Not sure there is too much hype unless you are spending too much time on social media, which just feeds you more of the things you click on, so maybe take a break?

Seriously, at what age do you think coaching and player development value are reflected in pure wins and loses?
Goalie development is more than half the battle at that age if you care about final scores.

True .. we were watching as our DC had the next game. Congrats to SYC, but they shouldn't have even been there. They should be sending the ref a great big thank you.
What is it lately with the refs helping SYC? Not a conspiracy but there SURE ARE quite a handful of big games where this was the case the past few weeks for SYC. Happened with their 2012 team recently which were shut out in a game but refs saw to change by offering and reoffering overage time until they won. IYKYN

Anonymous wrote:Yeah, they can't win unless they bring players down from the first team. But to be fair, that team lost half their starters this season and this year was a 'rebuilding' period.

There appear to be boys in that picture and their other State tournament photo who don't appear on any of their other team pictures for other tournaments on Social Media. I'm not Sherlock Holmes, but....
...but you're seriously spending too much time on this. Rosters are locked early on, you can't sneak kids onto a team. Each player washes checked in a against an official roster where you cannot be listed twice. Get over it and get a life.

The roster's are locked, that would be hard to do since Both tTeam 1 and team 2 are playing.
