'It’s not “criminal” to enter the US illegally' just illegal.

The ones liberals are freaked out about not being able to mow their lawns if they get booted out? Or the ones that pick their strawberries for purchase at whole foods?

Illegal alien is a specific term in federal law.
It is definitely a criminal violation, because you must register with the US government if you are here illegally.
The term appears--yet scarcely--in federal law. Best we can tell, though, no law defines the term as referring to all individuals living in the U.S. without legal authorization. Where the term does appear, it’s undefined or part of an introductory title or limited to apply to certain individuals convicted of felonies.

But humans can be illegal immigrants, right? Humans can do illegal things, right?
If a human enters the US illegally, that’s a criminal action. Would you prefer we can them “criminals”. That would be accurate, no?
"Great nation"
You seemed to have missed the bus
No one wants your pathetic feelings
There are clear historical reasons not to refer to other human beings in a inhumane way.
Trump regime knows what they are doing

Here is the problem and I sincerely think you don’t know this.
It’s not “criminal” to enter the US illegally or to overstay your visa, just like it’s not criminal to do a 50 in a 35.
Exactly. The PPs that keep using the word "illegal" seem to think it means "criminal" when it comes to immigration status. In fact, it's a civil matter, not a criminal one. Here are the facts:
*Entering the U.S. without inspection (e.g., crossing the border without a visa or going through a port of entry) is a violation of immigration law—but it’s not a criminal offense in most cases. It’s a civil violation, similar to overstaying a visa.
*Overstaying a visa (which is how a large number of undocumented immigrants become undocumented) is also a civil infraction, not a criminal one.
So, while being in the country without proper documentation is a violation of immigration law, it’s not the same as committing a crime like theft or assault. And importantly, seeking asylum—even without a visa—is legal under both U.S. and international law.
In short:
👉 Being in the U.S. without a valid visa is a legal issue, but it’s not necessarily a criminal one.
👉 The term “illegal” is not a legal classification and is discouraged by many legal and human rights organizations.

By the way, your point is no longer accurate. All non-citizens in the US who do not have green cards are required to register with the government, as of a week ago.
All these people are now in criminal violation.
