Important TRYOUT Updates
All team practices will be cancelled during tryout week to allow full focus on the tryout process.
Playmetrics calendars will be updated later today to reflect this change.
Our 2025–26 Coaching Slate will be released Monday, just ahead of the first tryout sessions
This is dumb. All the other turf fields will be sitting totally empty and they are cramming everyone into one field.
But when you have 10 coaches and you need 15 or more. This way all coaches will stand in the center circle and act like they’re paying attention
With 200 teenagers on one field...there won't be any room for them. Good luck trying to drop your kid off or parking.
You’re giving Herndon too much credit. There won’t be 200 players at any of their tryouts.

Many coaches who know NM will tell you he’s shady… there’s a reason RS and ML and NM are all gone… lots of $$$ going back and forth for that leadership team

I agree it doesnt make sense. My son is a 2010 and they have four teams of kids plus whoever is trying out scheduled at the same time as 2011 boys and girls-they have three teams...so 7 full sized teams plus tryer outers on ONE Field???
We were not told that our regular practices were canceled though.

It seems like not many clubs want NM "on their side" - ask GFR or FVU or Mclean how that worked out for them.
Who are you going to ask at GFR? The 3 soccer dads who are now running it?
Ok, so your preference is to discount GFR. Fair enough. How about FVU or Mclean or Herndon? Why don't they want to work with NM? Or should we discount those, too?
I’m not familiar with FVU. But I wouldn’t use Herndon as an example of a great youth soccer program. They’re an even bigger mess than GFR - although that is almost debatable now.
It's not about whether GFR or FVU or Mclean or Herndon should be considered "great youth soccer programs". The point is, why do none of them want to work with NM anymore? Now, if you are of the opinion that none of those clubs constitute "great youth soccer programs", that's actually even worse because that would mean that not even "bad" programs want to be affiliated with NM anymore. Why is that if he's such a great asset?
That brings up an interesting debate with US youth soccer especially in this area. Families clearly want to work with him and follow him but non soccer board members do not. Do those people make the best decisions for the club by saving money that ends up leaving anyways? I guess we will find out with GFR if they get a better return on investment.
