No mother of six boys my sons would not do this.
Don’t make excuses for shit behavior
The boys will be boys is BS

Let it go. It's not worth your brain power to figure out why.
Like every quote like this, and it’s the majority of the thread, is so so so f’ing telling. A bunch of women saying insulting a girl publicly as ugly in front of others is just a “quirky” boy being “weird” because all kids are weird.
A lot of you need to watch Adolescence and understand that’s what’s up. It doesn’t mean your innocent boy will kill someone. The point is that most parents like to ignore stuff and excuse stuff right in front of their faces and go really deep in saying that unacceptable behaviors are okay. They insist on the same publicly - this board isn’t private. It’s pushing forward a norm that hurts people and displaced the basic responsibility for parenting somewhere else.
Your hatred for boys is disturbing. No one is saying it’s ok to bark at girls. NO ONE! No one is excusing it!!! It’s just not as serious as you want to make it out to be. Get a grip!

None of us hate boys. Many of us have boys. We don't like "boy moms" who excuse bad behavior BECAUSE their child has a penis. All my children (boys and girls) are held to a high behavioral standard, which includes not barking at people. While we're at it I would also be disappointed if they lifted their leg to a fire hydrant or cleaned themselves by licking their bottom. Actually there are so many inappropriate behaviors, barking is definitely on that list.

You’re shrieking because this rather obviously describes you, and empathy for OP wondering what was going on is foreign to you. It’s a real failure of your character.

Zero idea about what you're trying to say.

Just remember, tween and teen girls also publicly laugh and giggle to publicly insult the looks of boys as well. Most often girls publicly insult other girls. Would you be so outraged about that? While still not ok, any normal adult should be able to view such adolescent behavior with a larger perspective.
Further, barking or howling at a girl commonly means the girl is hot and the boy is barking and panting as if he were a dog seeing a treat. I’ve never heard of this being used as an insult. In any case, while not every girl appreciates a cat girl, many do. It’s still not against the law any a one time call is not even considered harassment. Keep perspective.
