Go read up on the history of Walmart from the start. They purposely lowered prices at new stores in rural/less populated area until they ran all the local/smaller stores out of business. Then they raised prices. They have long refused to give people enough hours so that many employees are only PT/not eligible for benefits, despite the employees wanting to work more and wanting to get benefits.

Go ahead, read about the last 60 years of Walmart. If you have no issues with it, then shop there, or if it's the only thing nearby then shop there. But otherwise there are many smarter choices and have been for over half a century

Yes!! The curbside pickup is amazing. Order what you actually need and 2 hours later you can drive and get it. I started it during covid and have no desire to wander a store ever again. Grocery shopping, yes I prefer to pick my own produce (if I'm not sick), but target type stuff who cares. Let them do the work for me

Apparently I didn’t get the message: I’ve just discovered Target online ordering WITH drive up delivery!

I volunteer at a food pantry and just restocked -makes contributing way easier!

Couldn’t be easier and will now do a weekly order for the pantry!

This. And stop telling us that we are virtue signaling. It has nothing to do with virtue signaling. Many of us are disgusted by Target's and other brands' duplicity. I legitimately thought diversity was who Target was, and I don't appreciate being played.

I don't care how you spend your money. If this is what brings you happiness and peace in life, so be it.
But don't tell those of us who choose to still shop there or Amazon because it's extremely convenient for our lives, that we are not "supporting those virtues". We all have our own ways to do it

I understand that short boycotts don't typically make much of an impact, but I believe if the collective changes their spending patterns they can make a statement. And yes, in terms of the political climate, we need to do much more, but this can be one of many things we do, to whatever extent we do or don't see fit.

Target is not a great place to work either.

Ours is. It's a favorite employer for teachers/people needing a 2nd job, HS students, college students when home on breaks, and college grads while searching for full-time work in their field. My kid knows 15+ kids who work there and at least 3 parents who do so for a 2nd job.
