This. I have MAGA acquaintances through my kids sports but no one I’ve ever been friends with is a MAGA. We have nothing in common and wouldn’t be friends anyway. People’s political views change throughout their life and parties change too. Democracy relies on our ability to speak to one another civilly about differences of opinion and find common ground. The internet seems to have really damaged that aspect of society. It’s a shame.
