It's not just DCUM. There are numerous publications that have written about the racism. It doesn't mean there aren't good things about Sherwood too and it doesn't mean that the majority if students are like this but multiple incidents in a short time that were significant enough to make the news does give me pause personally.
What makes the media is essentially clickbait. The problem is that when the claims aren’t substantiated, the media doesn’t follow up, or if they do it’s minimally addressed.
I’m not saying there aren’t cases of racism. Racism happens at all schools: public, private, wealthy and poor. Some schools just cover it up more.
