And the verdict is in with this 80% negative thread. People really don't want ASA to get GA. If it's so bad, why do you all seem worried? You're just a few of the top ECNL boys leaving those successful teams at Arlington for MLS Next away from joining GA yourselves.

The coaching staff will likely remain the same. The players will continue to be coached by the same people. Nothing will be different except they MAY be rewarded for failure and have a different badge in their shirt.

There have been many players from ASA years ago who left and became top recruits in college. I just feel bad for all the players who were similar who just never realized their potential.

This is not true -- lots come from Alexandria to Arlington. At all levels.


Arlington dad here. Very few on the girl side of things. And if they do is because they were not challenged enough in ASA platform. If they get it will take a lot to build those teams. That is a big IF considering the failing history of the club with GA.

What does this even mean? Best talent goes to beat clubs. Just the way it works. Alexandria is a feeder club not a destination. It should be a destination but really had no clue what they are doing. It would be fine with Arlington and Arlington parents if all the good kids came from Alexandria.


Why should Alexandria be a destination? I don’t know much about the club. Is it the coaches? Facilities? College placement?
