That is crazy. I d rather donate to homeless shelter and gun control groups.

These posts should be removed. Someone with a warped sense of humor thought it was funny to post the above!

NCS is a great school, but not everyone wants to attend a religious school. Location and fit are other factors.

Holton wasn’t only school we looked at; however, it was the best fit for us.

Could be geographic. That said, only applying to one schools means that either they love their public or totally don’t understand the private school dynamics in this area.

Potomac was her top choice and she doesnt want to go anywhere else. we'll be reaching out and letting them know it's her top choice, hopefully that may have some effect...

If the Potomac WL is unsuccessful, Madeira is a great school as well. Congrats!

+1 DD absolutely loves Madeira. And, if it’s helpful, she didn’t know if she’d like all girls. It took her all of two weeks to figure out how amazing all girls is. Regardless, hope your DD gets in where she wants!

Potomac’s waitlist, like most others but particular Potomac’s, is a polite rejection. They may get one or two off the list each year, but they put most people not admitted on the WL.

Yeah, this is a private school forum, but talking about acceptances for 4th and 5th graders is kind of silly IMO. 9th grade? Makes sense.

A good friend's son got off the WL and got substantial FA at Burke two years ago, so it does happen
