Not how any of this works. Farmers can't just go out to their fields and press some buttons to change what and how much grows. This will drive prices UP not down.
As you say they will not be able to adjust to the new market. So they will have more product than they can sell at the original prices, so prices will go down.

Actually, you’ll probably see more. Maybe layered over Roots hoodies and accessorized with La Canadienne, Santana Canada, and Sorel boots. If I have to, I’ll even pretend to like poutine and maple syrup. And I’ll be clutching a sunflower. There are LOTS of us! And we value and appreciate our Canadian neighbors. 🇨🇦🇺🇦🍁

lol add 50 congressmen and 20 senators who will be left of Bernie!
I would love to watch the Republicans choke that down.
As soon as Trump signs you could impeach him(and his mimi me)!

Someone explain this to me like I'm 5.
There is no logical explanation. Republicans point to fentanyl, but less than 1 percent of all fentanyl in the US comes in via Canada. Whereas nearly all the illegal fentanyl in Canada comes in from the US. Just today the Canadians arrested two Americans smuggling fentanyl into the country. So that explanation holds no water.
Every single day, the US and Canada do nearly $4 billion worth of trade. Every single day. That's more than a trillion every year. What's going to happen with the tariffs is catastrophic, particularly for Canada. As Buffet said, it's basically an act of war on Canada. And for what? This is a willful destruction of the entire North American economy. Republicans have become the party of pure nihilism. Canadians are united in their loathing for America right now. And Canada will do whatever it can to inflict maximum hurt on the US economy, particularly the red states.
